Take a close-up look at the turbulence in the publishing world and examine library responses to the opportunities and challenges it presents.
We’ll begin our day with an insider’s view of traditional and electronic publishing. Through ignite sessions, we’ll hear from ten colleagues whose libraries have led the way by undertaking institutional repositories, organizing cultural heritage materials, uncovering and curating stories of historical proportion, or developing eTextbooks, among many other remarkable projects. There will be an opportunity to network and to try some hands-on projects. You’ll hear from library colleagues who have launched local or academic publishing. We’ll close with an inspiring speaker.
